This winning solution leverages Vantrix's broadcast quality glass to glass Live 360 VR system, Artesyn's Maxcore mobile edge compute platform for local network edge delivery and the Verizon cloud for providing live distribution of the event to remote users.
The setup was designed to demonstrate high quality, low latency live VR experiences at events such as sporting venues, festivals and theatres where fans are looking for a more immersive, up close unique experience in, around and remote to the venue. The demonstration also included augmenting the video with relevant real-time information such as player stats, virtual scoreboards and dynamic advertising.
"We are proud to be recognized by Verizon and Intel for our innovation with this award" says Jean Mayrand, Vantrix CEO and Co-Founder. "We are at a very exciting time as consumers. Never before has there been such access to rich content, and 360 VR is taking this to a whole new level, providing not only a unique immersive perspective, but allowing consumers to experience the best seat in the house."
Whether a sports league, venue owner, broadcaster, service provider or consumer brand, live 360 VR augmented with information and promotional content enables significant new revenue opportunities for all stakeholders in the value chain.
Vantrix will be attending SVG Summit, New York, December 12th and 13th. Please come by and see us for a demonstration.
